Junior Golf Lessons

Age 9 – 17

  • We offer lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
  • LOCATION: Lessons are held at Heroes Golf Course in West Los Angeles in the far east corner of the WLA Veterans Administration (VA) facility and hospital.
  • INSTRUCTOR: All lessons taught by PGA Teaching Professional, Carlos R. Rodriguez.
  • PRIVATE or SMALL GROUP: Your lesson may be private or with other juniors that you know.
  • 7 DAYS PER WEEK: Lesson times available everyday.
  • HOURS: 9 am to sunset.
  • EQUIPMENT: All equipment provided, including clubs if needed. If clubs needed, request right or left handed.
  • LESSON FEE: $150 per student for one hour lesson + green fee.
  • JUNIOR GREEN FEE: weekdays $12, weekends $15

Junior Golf Development Program

Age 9 – 15

  • After-school program runs when schools are in session, may attend the days that work best with student’s schedule.
  • 2 DAYS PER WEEK: Held Thursdays & Fridays
  • HOURS: from 3:30pm to 5:00pm
  • Co-ed group class.
  • Learn to golf or improve your game while playing the course!
  • Students have gone on to win city golf tournaments and join school golf teams.
  • EQUIPMENT: All equipment provided, including clubs if needed. If clubs needed, request right or left handed.
  • FEE: $100/day plus green fee of $12

GOLF CAMP FOR JUNIORS DURING SPRING, SUMMER, FALL & WINTER BREAK

What to Expect at Your Golf Lesson

Private one hour lesson is tailored to your golf experience –  beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Instruction includes all aspects of the game including grip, swing, stance, balance, teeing off, pitching/chipping, putting out, club selection, fairway play, course management, rules and golf etiquette.

Lesson starts in the practice area to go over the grip, swing, stance, balance pitching, chipping and putting.

Then moves onto the course for several holes covering teeing off, fairway play, club selection, course management, rules and golf etiquette.

Golf lessons will focus on developing an understanding of the mental and physical aspects of the golf swing.

If you have a small group of junior friends/family that want instruction, you can request that you all attend the same session. Please note the fee is $150 per hour, per person. No discounts for siblings.

No lessons if raining.

Payment may be made via:  cash,  check, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or credit card.

Parents will be required to sign a liability waiver before the start of lessons: “I do hereby release L.A. Golf Academy, Heroes Golf Course and the Veterans Administration and any employees or Independent contractors affiliated with these entities from any liability or responsibility for any accident or injury that my above identified child may incur.”
